Congratulations to Stephani Gonzales for winning our “Animal Kingdom” design contest with her “See Ya Lata” design. Stephani won $1,000, a $25 Storyville gift card and will have her design sold in our Louisiana shops and online at Storyville Apparel.com. You can pre-order “See Ya Lata” right now by clicking here. The first batch of these brand new tees will be printed this Wednesday at the Storyville Print Shop.
We’d also like to congratulate Megan Nolan, Brandon Jantz, Ali Becnel and Bucky VanGeffen for finishing in the Top 5. Don’t be surprised if you see some of these runner-up designs on the Storyville shelves very soon.
Newcomer Megan’s late entry into the contest nearly landed her the top prize. Brandon’s design got the most likes on Facebook. (Brandon also happens to be part of the LSU senior graphic design class that helped advise Storyville 5 years ago, only months after we opened our first shop on Chimes Street. What up, Mixed Nuts?). After winning our last contest with her “Saturday Night in Baton Rouge” design, Ali returned strong with “Sportsman’s Paradise.” And Bucky’s “Lucky” design got a lot of attention, which is understandable since one of Bucky’s previous food-related contest entries recently became a Storyville Original. “Roast Beef & Root Beer,” anyone?
One contest ends, and another one begins. This morning, we launched “Mitch Landrieu Dance Machine.” This sprint of a design contest runs through this Friday, June 22 at Midnight. The winning designer will take home $500. Proceeds from the sale of the winning design will go to Trombone Shorty’s “Horns for Schools” project. Go here to see the early submissions and click here to learn more about “Mitch Landrieu Dance Machine.” The winner of this contest will be announced in exactly one week (Monday, June 25) right here on the Storyville blog.
