“Mitch Landrieu Dance Machine” is live
For our seventh tee shirt design contest, we’re giving a shout-out to New Orleans’ dancing, singing, trumpet-playing mayor. “Mitch Landrieu Dance Machine” will run through this Friday, June 22 at Midnight. The winning designer will receive $500 and have his or her shirts sold in our shops. Ten percent of the sales of the winning design will go to Trombone Shorty’s “Horns for Schools” project, of which Mayor Landrieu has been a strong supporter.

Why “Mitch Landrieu Dance Machine,” you ask? Well, just YouTube “Mitch Landrieu” and “dance” and you’ll find the answer. The Mayor of New Orleans is always dancing up a storm at public events. The spirit of the City of New Orleans obviously moves the man. We think there’s a good tee shirt design in there somewhere. Let’s what see what design this little contest inspires.
The winner of the contest will be announced on Monday, June 25 at 10 am right here on this blog. Special thanks to New Orleans photographer Jonathan Bachman for taking the excellent photo above, and for allowing us to use it to promote this contest.
